MIKE LL.M.

FOUNDER AND CONSULTANT

Biography

With over 50 years continuous public practice experience, there's not much Mike hasn't seen over the years.

He began his training in 1968 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1972. Senior partner in his firm from 1982 to 1999 when he emigrated to Spain, he resigned from the Institute in 2000 to set up his current wide-ranging side of the practice in Spain to build up an international tax & business advisory consultancy and an advisory service for British Expats who still retained UK tax and accounting responsibilities. He also retains a substantial portfolio of clients from his UK-based days.

Mike also holds a contemporary (2019) Master of Laws Degree (University of Cumbria) in International Trade Law and undertakes international contract review consultancy as well as specialising in international copyright disputes, corporate governance advice and cross border business solutions.

Outside of work, Mike loves his cricket (he is a full member of MCC) but his two weaknesses are following the fortunes (sic!) of Luton Town FC (accident of birth) and playing tennis (he is very bad at it).
Happily married with 14 variously acquired grandchildren!
